How to turn a Chinese resume into a clear English resume

A strong English resume is a localized presentation of the same career facts. The facts stay stable while sentence structure, terminology, and emphasis change.

Build a shared fact base first

Keep role names, dates, projects, metrics, and source evidence in one place. Generate each language version from that shared base.

Translate responsibility, not internal jargon

Replace company-specific abbreviations with language a recruiter in the target market can understand. Preserve product and technical terms when they are standard.

Review tone and evidence separately

First verify that the English is natural, then compare every claim with the source material. Fluency should never introduce a stronger claim than the evidence supports.

Before you publish

  • Dates, titles, and metrics match the original facts.
  • Internal abbreviations are explained or removed.
  • Bullets begin with clear actions.
  • The result reads naturally rather than literally translated.

Use the same facts across every resume version

Add your source materials to Rezloom, maintain traceable facts in your Career Wiki, and create resumes for different roles and languages.
